Sobre a instituição

Nós somos o Instituto Welight de Inovação Socioambiental, um organismo vivo com um coração grande, conduzido por amigos e profissionais multidisciplinares que querem transformar o planeta com ações de impacto social e ambiental impulsionadas pela colaboração em rede. O conceito nasceu ao longo do desenvolvimento do Welight, uma startup social e de impacto, cuja equipe não se contém em agir em prol de causas emergenciais com as quais se depara. O colapso da barragem de Mariana que inundou o Rio Doce com lama tóxica, resultando na pior tragédia ambiental da história do Brasil, nos levou a criar uma campanha muito simples e despretensiosa, através do facebook, pela qual conseguimos levantar, em um curto espaço de tempo, recursos suficientes para distribuir mais de 400.000 litros de água pura para aqueles que mais precisavam. Agora, estamos a desenvolver novas iniciativas, com o objetivo de transformar a realidade de pessoas e comunidades cujas situações tocaram nossos corações. Tudo o que realizamos tem também como finalidade mostrar que, nesta era da informação e interconectividade, mesmo grandes ações que transformam a vida de centenas ou milhares de indivíduos, não dependem de muita coisa a não ser da união de pessoas de bom coração e com muita disposição para fazer o bem.
